Just a thought... 1st Corinthians 16:14

I just wanted to share a little about the topic of "opinions" today... I don't know about you but there seems to be a lot of DRAMA in our country these days! I am so over drama! LOL. Sure everyone is entitled to their opinion but i don't understand why people feel the need to share their two cents about everything... even if they aren't asked. Before you speak (or type via social media ) you need to ask yourself some questions... Did i take my opinions, worries, frustrations, doubts to the Lord first? And did He tell me to post/share this? Or should i just lean not on my own understanding but trust in HIS? is my opinion going to cause someone to be angry/upset/sad/hurt feelings? Of do I even care if it hurts someone? Do I just want to make someone angry?Stir up the pot? Is putting my opinion out in the open going to do any good/make a change? What would Jesus do?

As Christians, we should be sharing encouragement and lifiting each other up... acting in Christ-like manner.. I never saw in the bible where Jesus just blatently popped off at the mouth when He was angry or disagreed with something. He always had a spirit of Love and only spoke truth when he was asked. He never belittled anyone or tried to make someone feel less than. If you aren't sharing out of love and thinking about others and their feelings, then maybe you need to take a look at yourself. God tells us if we have a problem to go to that person in private and speak PRIVATELY! Have you ever heard the saying "Praise in public, confront in private"? Social media counts as public just fyi! Conflict is something that is tearing our nation and our churches apart. Is it worth it to live this way? i personally do not think so.... how can you be at peace if there is so much conflict and anger in your heart? And if it something that you feel that strongly about... take it to the Lord and let Him work it out. It is in His hands after all. I myself get sad or feel angry sometimes about how things are going on in families, our government, our churches, our world in general... but I just have to give it to God and trust that He is going to work all things for good... p.s the bible tells us this! What would the church look like if the believers only encouraged each other, prayed for each other, lifted each other up and fought each others battles... instead of being a reason FOR someone's battles?
